Back home (the early 90’s) I opened my own recording studio, Saucer Sound. Suddenly I was a single dad. I was fortunately able to stay at home while continuing to make a living in the music business.
Today, I am proud of my son Skyler, who is now studying business law and international relations at New York University. I continue to work as a recording engineer, producer and arranger. I’ve had the pleasure and the agony of creating commercials for radio and television. I’ve had the honor of working with many great musicians, including legendary rockabilly artist Sleepy LaBeef. Several recording artists I produced are currently being considered by major labels. Why not? When they leave SaucerSound with CD mastered by us, they sound like Nashville, NY, or LA.
I’ve put together a strong team of creative people at the studio. Raffy C Lopez, for instance, is a product of my team building and training. But success doesn’t happen “overnight” in this business.
I’ve come full circle. Now I’m looking forward to once again being a performing artist, this time in the movies. It’s a real honor to work with David Singer and the StoryPump group. This is the opportunity to fully express myself artistically in film scoring, songwriting, playing, singing, arranging, producing, acting, and, well, you name it. I’m very excited by what we’ve done since 2003, and we’re just getting started.
