RUN GRAMMIE RUN has many stories embedded woven in its tapestry.
The primary story follows Grammie and Maria in their quest to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
There are four love stories, one each for the leading ladies. The family has its story. The community has a story. Finally, tangental characters find their stories periodically popping up.
The setting is a matriarchal house of four women of four generations. When Grammie, at 75, plops down running gear and shoes to announce she plans to run the Boston Marathon, she is joined by her 17 year old great-granddaughter Maria, much to the consternation of the others in their lives.
It becomes a story of love and laughter when the men in their lives proclaim “It’s our way or the highway.”
Will life become an uphill catastrophe, or is running best for the heart?
