Vanessa tells about how she started: “Performing has been the main focus of my life since I can remember! My first love was acting, but then as a freshman in high school I auditioned for the annual spring musical (a Broadway Review). I’m the one who usually sat in the back row during choir, you know the type? To my surprise, when the teacher heard the sound that came out of this girl, she pulled me aside saying ‘Vanessa, there is something mature and different about your voice.’”
