Luckily, my fiancé Amanda called me one night on my way home to tell me that some guy named David Singer was interested in using some of my songs in some movies. I almost lost control of my vehicle. This was excellent news. Thanks Jay (Saucer Sound). My musical wick has been re-ignited. I ended up building my own home recording studio. It’s about the size of a closet, but it works for me.
I am currently working as a carpenter, and have been for ten years now, but I do want to merge into the music scene to make a living for a change. It is my passion, but I also need to pay the bills. I am also a specialist/engineer in the Army National Guard, my small contribution to this great land we walk on. I look forward to working with David Singer, Jay Fernandes, and everyone involved in the upcoming Story Pump movie projects for years to come. It will be an excellent adventure, and I’m proud to be a part of it. So far, “Ain’t Got Much Money”(the movie version) and my Jimmy Durante voice in Keith Hayes’ song “Lightning to my Thunder” are in the romantic comedy Run Grammie Run. Also, a movie version of “Bad Luck I Am” has been recorded for the upcoming “Trac-R” series. Nice!!!
Most importantly, I’d like to thank my beautiful fiancée Amanda for putting up with me. She ihas her Degree in Communications and Political Science from Bryant University. She has been a great influence on me and always will be. Equally important, I must thank, and apologize to, my two awesome brothers for tolerating my annoying guitar playing at all hours of the night as they were trying to sleep. It will pay off some day, and I promise I’ll reward you both for supporting me and not going crazy (that goes for mama and papa too). My longtime friends have always been supportive and so have my crazy cousins. Thanks bros, primos, and amigos. I’m lucky to share this life with you. Last, but certainly not least, is mini me, aka Jesse. He’s my son and he seems to have inherited my musical genes. He is one year from being a teenager and I can only hope that he hasn’t inherited my bad genes. He loves to sing and is involved in all of his school concerts. I am very proud of him and his enthusiasm in music, but we’re still working on his grades (bad genes). Oh yeah, I can’t forget to mention my crazy Chihuahua, Santana. No matter what kind of day I have, he can always make me laugh. Peace, Vinho
